InsideOut were trusted with the opportunity to design and deliver a Pret A Manger flagship store uniquely identifiable to Heathrow Terminal 2. The original store layout was transformed into a fully transparent and spacious dining environment, with refreshing pastel tones set against a contemporary industrial aesthetic.
We bookended the key customer touch points of product pick up and sales, opening up the central shopfront for eye-catching bespoke joinery to welcome in guests at one of the world’s busiest airports. A sweeping seating feature informs intuitive customer flow, displays merchandise and offers a ‘quick sit’ for those heading for the boarding gates.
A dropped bulkhead towards the rear of the space leads you to comfort seating. Sinuous banquettes washed in Pret’s revived colour palette lines the perimeter to provide more privacy to individuals and groups. Alternate seating displays Pret’s iconic passion graphics and a feature column roundel maintains the Pret identity in this new look shop. Warm joinery ties the whole shop together with playful tones in the linings and upholstery, offering guests an open, accessible and refreshing environment prior to their onward travel.
Everything is about time in the travel retail world of food and beverage offering. Our Client’s flagship store within Heathrow Terminal 2 sought for unique identity in both aesthetic and operation to exceed customer expectation in this swift paced airside environment.
The existing shopfront was opened across its entire expanse to maximise inviting sightlines, accommodate peak customer flow and future adaptations. Reviving Pret’s long lost secondary colour palette of playful pastels whilst maintaining their brand identity was an exciting challenge and balancing this with a new, simple and contextually appropriate operational layout was most rewarding.
