Having been heavily involved with our client in the very early decision to proceed with a Passivhaus development of exemplary design quality, this project has been very close to our hearts and is a reflection of our approach to appropriate and responsible design.
Initially a very complex planning policy challenge, InsideOut successfully obtained permission from Swale Council for this residential scheme in an open countryside location, having also received extremely positive feedback from the Design South East panel. The scheme’s clear ambitions in terms of design quality and sustainability were instrumental in its successful outcome.
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with InsideOut on this fantastic new scheme in Faversham. The private development of 14 Passive house homes will unquestionably feature both sustainable design and high-quality craftsmanship.
Built with natural materials and incredibly energy-efficient, the South-facing, sunny homes are perfect for those yearning to be in touch with nature. There will be no through or circular traffic in the new residential area – keeping its natural peace and quiet and safe environment for family life.
Residents of this new scheme can expect to see a huge reduction on energy bills from the eco-conscious design which includes high-performance triple glazing, airtightness, ventilation and space heating.
These landscape-led family homes introduce an exciting new way of modern living, cleverly combining both privacy and a sense of community.”
