Founder and Director
Following his architectural studies at University of Westminster and experience working on a broad range of schemes encompassing residential developments, schools, hotels, retail projects and commercial fit-outs, Chris co-founded InsideOut in 2001. InsideOut is a small client-oriented practice and was initially primarily focused on residential schemes. Some 300 projects later, InsideOut now undertake projects across a variety of sectors that draw on Chris’s 25 years of experience within the construction industry. Chris currently heads up the commercial team, in parallel to his role as Managing Director of the practice. His personable manner, professionalism and strategic vision make Chris an invaluable asset to any of our clients and an exemplary team principal within our office.
Bianca Valido Leach
A native of Gran Canaria, Bianca trained in London, has been ARB accredited for over 10 years and is also a RIBA Chartered Architect. Her past experience includes a wide range of project types and scales, having been involved in a number of urban design projects while working at Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in New York as well as working for 6 years as an Associate in Mador & Partners on projects ranging from residential refurbishments to sport and leisure complexes. Bianca joined the InsideOut team in 2009 and became a company director in 2013, currently overseeing the residential projects in the practice, ranging from developer-led new housing developments to smaller and more personalised domestic schemes. Her architectural interests are focused on creating places that are appropriate, contextual and deliver meaningful value to our clients.
Anthony has been working at InsideOut since 2014. Anthony completed his diploma at Kingston University in London and obtained his RIBA Advanced Diploma in Professional Practice in Architecture (Part III) in September 2005. He has twenty years of professional practice over which time he has gained valuable experience at a number of award-winning London based design-led practices, as well as at practices in Rome and Kula Lumpur in Malaysia. Anthony’s particular architectural interests are focused on creating work that is routed in its specific context and culture, with an interest in the application of climatically responsive design solutions.
James studied and trained in London, gaining his ARB accreditation in 2014. He is also a RIBA Chartered Architect. He has been with InsideOut since 2012 and during this time has worked as a Designer and then Project Architect on a wide range of commercial and residential projects. His current projects include the refurbishment and extensions of a Grade II listed townhouse in Camden and a 5-bedroom farmhouse in West Sussex. His architectural interests lie in refined and well-detailed buildings that carefully consider the human experience.
Kelly Nunez Tozzi
After graduating as an Architect from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2012, Kelly worked on architectural and urban planning projects in South America. In 2014 she moved to London to continue her professional path in interior design. Kelly joined InsideOut in 2015 and has been involved with a number of our airport lounge projects. Her main interests are small to mid-scale projects; she likes giving attention to details and finding the way to express ideas that reflect the client. In her free time, she enjoys designing furniture pieces.
Andrea was born and raised in the United States and completed a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Architecture as well as a Master’s Degree in Planning at the University of Nebraska. A semester at Dublin Institute of Technology in 2007 enticed Andrea to make the leap and eventually immigrate to London at the beginning of 2013 when she joined the InsideOut team. Since this time Andrea has been heavily involved in residential refurbishments and extensions, showing a strong desire to work closely with clients and deliver projects that enhance family life and serve their unique needs. She is currently managing a number of residential and commercial refurbishment projects and completing her architectural qualifications for the UK.
Daniel has recently joined the team at InsideOut having just finished a Master’s degree in Architecture at the University of Sheffield. At university he worked with a local children’s charity to develop, design and build a community adventure playground. Working on both commercial & residential projects here at InsideOut, Daniel is interested in connecting with clients to make sure we can deliver the best design for their needs.
Colin is a RIBA registered architect having over 20 years experience. Colin worked in offices from Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur to London before co-founding Inside Out with Chris in 2001. Inside Out has developed into a highly professional and efficient team that prides itself in all areas of architectural and interior design. Colin has interests in developing and house building, which have culminated in several self-built projects. These projects have allowed Colin to appreciate the process of delivering a building from both client and an architects perspective.
Shayema joined the team in 2012 through her Business Administration apprenticeship scheme. Shayema studied whilst working her way up at InsideOut as an advanced apprentice. Shayema works alongside the Practice Manager while also supporting Architects and Designers in the office.
Cathy has been with InsideOut since 2006, having previously worked in several London law firms. She studied Business at Westminster University and is a Chartered MCIPD. Her role is ensuring the office runs smoothly and that the practice is a great place to work. Additionally, Cathy looks after the financial side of the business.
Part 1 Assistant
Emma is at her Part I stage of RIBA certification, graduating with a 1st Class Honours in 2015. She has a range of architectural experience including: residential, healthcare and commercial projects. Emma is inspired by phenomenology and the human experience of a space, she enjoys working with memory, atmospheres and materiality. In her spare time, she experiments with concrete forms and shuttering, applying her findings to appliances such as lighting.
