With a proven track record of adding real value through high-quality, cost-effective design InsideOut’s diligent, highly professional and personable team get the job done in a timely manner. Small is our strength; offering senior involvement throughout all stages of a project. Our Clients’ aspirations and values inform our designs and we take cost-control and sustainability seriously. InsideOut remove the weight of the process and allow our Clients to focus on the ‘after’, resulting in experience-led architecture and interiors that quietly enable and inspire life to take place long after our involvement.

Andrea Koerner
Senior Designer

Andrea was born and raised in the United States and completed a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Architecture as well as a Master’s Degree in Planning at the University of Nebraska. An exchange at Dublin Institute of Technology in 2007 enticed Andrea to make the leap and eventually immigrate to London at the beginning of 2013. Since this time Andrea has been a part of the InsideOut team, working closely with clients to deliver projects that enhance family life and and the customer experience. She completed her qualifications at Oxford Brookes University in 2016 and is currently managing a number of residential and commercial projects.


Andy Min Lee
Architectural Assistant

Andy is an Architectural Assistant in InsideOut. He joined the team in 2018 shortly after graduating from the University of Bath with a Master’s degree in Architecture. Having been born and raised in Borneo, nature has always been his biggest inspiration when it comes to achieving equilibrium in architecture and design. He believes that only through a seamless symbiosis of architecture and nature can the world be a better place to live, and he enjoys working closely with clients and peers to try and achieve just that.

At InsideOut, Andy is assisting with several ongoing projects, including a landscape-led Passivhaus development in Kent, a Grade II* listed residential project in Knightsbridge and a community-focused housing development on a former dairy-farm bordering the South Downs National Park. Andy’s fantastic work ethic and personable nature make him a great asset to any team. His wonderful culinary skills have not gone unnoticed either; Andy does supper clubs in his spare time and has voluntarily cooked several inspiring meals for the team that were not only delicious but demonstrated his creativity and flair with all things ‘making’.


Anthony Hall
Senior Associate

Anthony has been working at InsideOut since 2014. Anthony completed his diploma at Kingston University in London and obtained his RIBA Advanced Diploma in Professional Practice in Architecture (Part III) in September 2005. He has twenty years of professional practice over which time he has gained valuable experience at a number of award-winning London based design-led practices, as well as at practices in Rome and Kula Lumpur in Malaysia. Anthony’s particular architectural interests are focused on creating work that is routed in its specific context and culture, with an interest in the application of climatically responsive design solutions.


Bianca Valido Leach

A native of Gran Canaria, Bianca trained in London, has been ARB accredited for over 15 years and is also a RIBA Chartered Architect. Her past experience includes a wide range of project types and scales, having been involved in a number of urban design projects while working at Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in New York as well as working for 6 years as an Associate in Mador & Partners on projects ranging from residential schemes to sport and leisure complexes. Bianca joined the InsideOut team in 2009 and became a company director in 2013, currently overseeing delivery of the residential projects in the practice. Her architectural interests are focused on creating places that are appropriate, contextual and deliver meaningful value to our clients.

Cathy Watkins
Practice Manager

Cathy works as Practice Manager at InsideOut and has been with us since 2006. She studied Business at Westminster University and is also a Chartered MCIPD (HR).  Prior to working at InsideOut, Cathy worked in the legal world. Her role is ensuring the business and its processes are run efficiently and that the practice is a great place to work.  Additionally, Cathy oversees the financial side of the business.

In her spare time, Cathy loves live music and spending time with her friends and family, often accompanied by food and red wine.   She is a keen outdoor exercise enthusiast and can often be found running or doing press ups in the park.

Cathy also uses her organisational skills to manage the office building where we are based in SE1.


Chris Parker
Founding Director

Chris is a Director & founder of InsideOut Architecture, and Trustee of the InsideOut Trust.

Born & bred in London, and justifiably proud to be so. Following an “old school” apprenticeship as a draughtsman, Chris studied Architecture and Engineering at the University of Westminster, and graduated in 1993.

He went on to work on a diverse portfolio of projects spanning Master Planning, Healthcare, Retail, Workplace & Residential Architecture both in the U.K and Malaysia. Chris had always had an ambition to do his own thing, and set up the practice in 2001. As a director, Chris has had input into most projects, but the thing that he will point to as his biggest achievement at the company is its transformation in 2019 into an Employee Owned Trust.

Chris has a strong track record in the Workplace sector, both at, and prior to forming InsideOut. Previous experience includes Cat A / Cat B fit outs for British Land in Broadgate (15,000 sq ft), Bishopsgate (50,000 sq ft) and the Head Office fit out for Land Securities Trillium at London Wall (100,000 sq ft), as well as many projects at a more modest scale.

Chris has a passion for and extensive experience within the technical and challenging Aviation sector – leading over 20 high-end Airport Lounge fit out projects in the UK & Australia  ( 75,000 sq ft, and contract value of £35m) – as well as acting as client advisor in relation to strategic development.


Daniel Stern

Daniel is a registered Architect and InsideOut’s Sustainability Champion. He has been with the practice since 2016, promoting sustainable design and conduct holistically. Since graduating with a Master’s degree from the University of Sheffield he has worked on residential and commercial projects both locally and internationally. With a keen interest in low impact design, he is challenging the boundaries of traditional construction to progress architecture for the future.

Regardless of scale, whether he is working on a semi-detached infill scheme in Central London or designing a 20+ unit housing development in Southwest England, he takes care to consider both the detail and practical side of the design process. Daniel enjoys working with challenging sites, looking to take advantage of any sustainable opportunities the site has to offer and then approach each project holistically.


Helen Evans
Studio Administrator

Helen works as our Studio Administrator and looks after the day to day financial administration for the company.  She has been working at Inside Out since 2018.

Helen previously worked in the financial sector, first with NatWest and then spent 17 years working for the private equity firm 3i in the legal and compliance area as a Compliance Analyst.


James Barrett

James is a Senior Architect at InsideOut. He studied and trained in London, qualifying as an architect in 2014. Since joining InsideOut he has delivered many residential and commercial projects, including airport lounges, historic building refurbishments and housing developments. His eye for detail and wide-ranging experience makes him an all-rounder, well placed for most project needs. The key threads that run through all of James’s projects are a particular sensitivity to brief, the end-user, and the wider impact of design, along with the practical ability to get projects delivered on-time and on-budget.

His largest project to-date is our 72-unit housing development at Coombe Farm, which he masterplanned and has taken from concept through to construction. However, he also enjoys taking on smaller, complex projects such as our refurbishment of a Grade II listed Georgian Townhouse at Albert Street, and the exchange of floorspace within a converted warehouse at Warner House.

He has worked closely with domestic clients to design and deliver tailored home interiors. Also, for a number or years, he was the design-lead on various fast-paced refurbishments, extensions, feasibility studies, and re-brands of the No1 Lounges group in the UK and Australia. This unique experience allowed him to develop highly organised methods for designing and procuring all elements of commercial interior projects, along with contract (and contractor) management.


Marianna Ntalipi
Interior Designer - WELL Accredited Professional

After completing her Bachelor’s studies in Interior Architecture in Athens, Marianna moved to London in 2012 to complete her Master’s degree in Interior Design at the University of Westminster. Marianna gained experience on a variety of residential, commercial and hospitality projects before joining InsideOut in 2018.

At InsideOut, Marianna’s primary focus is on commercial projects and more specifically in the Aviation sector with several completed airport lounges encompassing both design and full brand identity. One of the main projects was redesigning the identity of No1 Airport lounges in the UK.

Lately, her focus is on residential projects, working across various design stages as well as the FF&E design with attention to detailing and finishes. Currently she is working on a family house refurbishment in North London.

Marianna brings an interior design focus to the practice with a particular interest in wellbeing.  In 2021 she qualified as a WELL Accredited Professional to broaden her knowledge to encompass design for optimal health and wellbeing in the built environment.


Philip Russell

Associate Architect with over 10 years of post qualification experience, having worked on a diverse range and scale of projects and building types across the commercial, retail, hospitality, residential and aviation sectors, with senior team involvement on projects ranging from £1m to £600m.

Phil’s recent focus has been on leading the commercial and hospitality projects from concept and technical stages through to completion, including new Clients in the food and beverage and aviation sectors.

Previous mixed-use commercial and residential experience includes responsibility as Senior Architect for the design and coordination of 1,000,000ft2 high end residential and retail development in the Malaysian peninsula. Proposals accommodated 750 apartments within three towers of 40, 38 and 36 storeys with a podium mix of residential facilities, parking and retail components.

Previous commercial experience includes responsibility as an Architect for the design and coordination of a 100,000ft2 podium incorporating a hotel, gymnasium, restaurant and creative business studios for SP Setia at the Battersea Power Station Phase 1 Development.
